I went out today after work to do the diff speed mod, I took the starter botton/kill/over ride switch off, and un hooked the over ride switched and tied the wires together and taped them up and stuck them in the wiring harness. What throws it off here is that you jumped the starter and it engages and you replaced the relay/solenoid. Did you jump it at the relay/solenoid yo they are in constant mesh with a gear inside the engine. I removed that component and replaced the solenoid/relay with the fuse on it and when I push the start button that relay just buzzes and if I turn the head lights on everything goes off including the dash dashboard light and gauges.
